Club SAFE Self-exclusion

Gambling more, enjoying it less?

Coonabarabran Bowling club operates a self-exclusion program whereby members can exclude themselves from the gaming room, Keno, Tab or even the whole club. Self-exclusion is a very valuable tool to assist people who recognise that they have a problem controlling their gambling and wish to remove themselves from the gambling environment. If you feel that gambling has become a problem in your life we encourage you to consider self-exclusion as an easy and confidential tool to help yourself.

How do I self-exclude?

Getting started is easy, start by:

– Approaching a staff member

Talk to a staff member at our club who can initiate self-exclusion for you.

– Contact a gambling counsellor in your arear

Find the nearest gambling counsellor to you by calling: Gambling Help on 1800 858 858 or ClubSAFE on 1800 99 77 66

– Sign a Deed of Self-Exclusion

This will determine the duration of the self-exclusion period (six months up to four years) and the venues you wish to be excluded from. You will also be able to nominate the venue areas – the entire club, gaming areas only, or a total gambling ban. After signing the deed, your photo will be taken and confidentially uploaded to the Multi-Venue Self-Exclusion (MVSE) system. All the venues you chose will be immediately notified giving you peace of mind – many participants have reported the sense of relief this step brings.
